Standard Appointment
After your initial appointment, your chiropractor will recommend a personalised treatment plan of standard appointments. You will continue to be advised on relevant stretches, exercises, and lifestyle advice throughout these sessions.
Each regular appointment is 20 minutes long and involves a targeted physical assessment followed by chiropractic adjustments and soft-tissue therapies.
Our soft-tissue therapies include cupping, dry needling, trigger point therapy and Gua Sha (traditional muscle scraping). For more information see here.
The chiropractic techniques that we use include the traditional dynamic thrust, along with instrument, table and wall assisted adjustments. Our lightest techniques use static pelvic wedges and breathing assisted adjustments. For more information see here.
Infant / Child Appointment
Our chiropractors love working with children and we have baby changing facilities as well as toys and coloring activities for older kids.
At the initial appointment we assess the integration of primitive reflexes which are particularly important for developmental milestones. We usually position the baby on mum or our baby friendly cushion so they feel secure and relaxed during the appointment.
We adjust babies with as much force as we would use to feel a 'ripe tomato'. We also assess for cranial integrity and With toddlers we use low-force instrument assisted as well as touch and hold techniques.
The standard appointment for children is usually shorter than for an adult at 15 minutes as they are naturally more supple and do not require as much soft tissue work.
